Biography

 

Jeff Redmon is an artist happily living in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI. Redmon has a lifelong passion for art, and received his BFA from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. ​Making art is a part of everyday life and Jeff is focused on developing abstract art.

 

Redmon’s first job out of college was as a graphic designer within the marketing department of a Fortune 500 company. After a few years he went into business for himself as a designer and artist. In 2015 Redmon became the Gallery and Artist Residency Director at RedLine Milwaukee, and during his three years there the gallery was twice awarded with the honor of "Best Gallery" in Milwaukee by the Shepherd Express Reader's Poll.

 

​In June of 2019, Jeff and his wife Dana founded Scout Gallery, a contemporary art gallery located in Bay View. The Gallery works closely with a group of talented local artists for the purpose of exhibition and sales.

 

​Redmon believes in the power of art and community. He is the co-founder and organizer of BVGN (Bay View Gallery Night) bringing crowds of 10,000+ per event to support and nourish the local art and business community for over a decade. Redmon was an organizer of Milwaukee’s first ever TEDx event (TEDx Harambee 2013). Jeff is also an organizer and founding member of Arte Para Todos, which brought hundreds of Milwaukee musicians and artists together to perform in multiple venues across the city to raise funds for school art and music programs.

 

​Jeff continues to work for a variety of causes while working to make art and connect with others through creativity.
